The IoD West Midlands Region

This diverse region covers the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire, as well as the urban areas of Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and the Black Country and is made up of over 1,100 directors and senior decision makers.

Headed up by regional chair, Brian Hall, the IoD West Midlands hosts a programme of seminars, business breakfasts and special events which give members the opportunity to listen, question and be inspired by business leaders, politicians and decision-makers.

Our branches

From 1 January 2021, the IoD West Midlands moved to a new four branch structure encompassing:

  • Greater Birmingham
  • Worcester and the Marches
  • Black Country and Staffordshire
  • Coventry and Warwickshire

We have removed outdated boundaries and are regenerating the core of the region with a new Greater Birmingham branch that will build on the success of our first-class director training in the city and align our presence with that of the Metro Mayor and devolved powers.

We continue to be well-supported by our branch chairs, who help to ensure that we reach all of our members across the region. Ian Priest is branch chair responsible for Black Country and Staffordshire, Jo Hodgetts chairs Worcester and the Marches and Dean Kavanagh is the branch chair for Coventry and Warwickshire.
We hope to announce the appointment of the Greater Birmingham branch chair soon.
