The research aims to examine the role of supplier consortia, otherwise known as Joint Bidding in Wales. A Published Guide has been produced by Welsh Government to support Micro firms and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in winning higher value (£) public contracts. The current academic research highlights few similar practices globally which support the supply side; consortia are usually relevant to the buy side (e.g. Purchasing Consortium). The key question that the research investigates is whether this type of collaboration can successfully support SMEs or not. If so, what type of support do managers of organisations expect?
This short survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is relevant if you have decision making responsibilities in your organisation, and are involved with and or considering bidding for public contracts as a service provider in the UK.
