The Institute of Directors is expanding its team in the South West with the appointment of a regional Branch Manager and Branch Operator.
Jayne Miller takes on the role of Branch Manager to support Senior Branch Manager Kerri-Anne
Mruk. Jayne joins from Chamber Wales where she was an Account Manager helping to facilitate growth for Welsh businesses trading across the globe. She previously covered Wales & The South West as Leisure & Corporate Sales for Qatar Airways. Previous to that worked in the Executive Lounge Business Development and Commercial Team at Cardiff Airport for 16 years.
She says: “This is a perfect move for me, being able to combine my knowledge of business development and the needs of local businesses to grow and thrive. There are still challenges ahead for directors as we now face into issues such as skills and resource shortages – the IoD is well placed to support and guide directors through commercial challenges such as these and I am delighted to be part of that support system.”
Zoe Ford is the Branch Operator for the South West. Zoe’s journey with the IoD commenced in January after being offered a 6-month part-time student internship, alongside studying for her degree at the University of West England. After proving to be a successful part of the team, and the completing her degree, Zoe was then offered a full-time role in the South West, working alongside Kerri-Anne and Jayne. Zoe has also been appointed as Student Ambassador for the South West and is eager to start work instilling the Tomorrow’s Director programme and growing student membership across the South West.
Kerri-Anne said: “Both these appointments really add breadth and depth to the team as we grow our membership following a challenging 18 months for everyone. I am delighted to be working alongside both Jayne and Zoe and supporting our existing and new members in terms of professional development, networking, support and mentoring.”
