Scottish Ministers are looking to appoint a new Chair to Lanarkshire NHS Board.
This is an exciting and challenging time to join the Board of NHS Lanarkshire. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on society and NHS Lanarkshire has had to re-prioritise its services and activities. This has also provided opportunities to support innovation and develop sustainable services with high quality, person centred, safe and effective care firmly at the heart of our strategic plans.
Key priorities for the Board include refreshing our Healthcare Strategy “Achieving Excellence” and delivering our exciting vision to build a new state of the art University Hospital Monklands, whilst building on our culture of working in partnership with our staff and communities. However, this pandemic has also exacerbated the health inequalities within our society and we must ensure that addressing health inequalities is integral to anything we do.
You will have the experience required for this significant appointment and will play a central leadership role in guiding the strategies which address the health priorities and health and care needs of the people of Lanarkshire. If you have what it takes to fulfil this rewarding and challenging role, we would like to hear from you.
You will be accountable to Scottish Ministers for leading the Board, comprising non-executive and executive members, which will improve, sustain and protect the health of people across Scotland. You will understand and promote diversity.
As well as being able to show that you understand the organisation and the environment in which it operates, you must also be able to demonstrate the following:
