The IoD will put cyber-crime and digital transformation under the spotlight at a virtual half-day conference, featuring speakers from across the North of England.
‘Don’t get hacked off - Digital and Cyber Protection Strategies’ takes place on 23 February and is free to attend, as the Institute looks to raise awareness of cyber threats to businesses at a time when many people are working from home.
The packed agenda includes practical demonstrations and tips from industry experts on how to protect your business.
Speakers include Bev McGowan, chair of the Cyber Expert Group (CRC)
and CEO of Business Risk Specialists
and CyberPRO Academy.
She will be joined by Rebecca Chapman of the Cyber Resilience Centre, North East, who will examine current threats and protection strategies from a policing perspective. Mick Mitchell, Consultant, Business Risk Specialists, will explore cyber security protection strategies for a changing work environment.
Guests will also hear from Dr Emma Philpott of The IASME Corporation, Tom Pickford of The Growth Company and Paul Burrows of KryptoKloud on, respectively, cyber essentials, skills programmes and cyber-attack incident response.
There will be an opportunity to pose questions to panellists at the end of the event, which runs from 8.45am to 12.30pm.
