Quentin Abel, our Manchester environmental ambassador will be speaking at this year's Greater Manchester Green Summit.
He invites all members to attend and support the vision for a cleaner, climate-resilient North West region.
Since the last year’s event, the organisers have been working hard to understand how Greater Manchester can become carbon neutral and continuing the conversation with thousands of businesses and local communities.
They have ambitious goals to be the first UK city region to devise a science-based target and pathway to becoming carbon neutral, reducing carbon emissions to tackle climate change and make their fair contribution to keeping global average temperature change below 2°C. They hope their vision will not only make them a global leader for smart energy innovation, but will transform Greater Manchester into a world-leading greener, climate-resilient city region, improving the health and quality of life for millions of people and protecting our green spaces and environment for future generations.
This year’s Greater Manchester Green Summit will be held on 25th March 2019 at The Lowry Theatre in the heart of MediaCity. Amongst other speakers, Quentin Abel, who sits on our Manchester committee as our environmental ambassador will be sharing his input and knowledge on the subject and kindly invites all members to come along on the day to support the vision.
