North West employers have come together to develop a new apprenticeship aimed at middle and senior managers to develop their coaching and mentoring skills.
The employer group, working as a ‘Trailblazer’, the Government’s structure for developing new apprenticeships that can be funded by the new Apprenticeship Levy, is welcoming employers who would like to influence the structure of the new apprenticeship by joining the Trailblazer.
IoD Cumbria is supporting the initiative. Coaching and Mentoring is a critical part of the skillset required by business leaders in maximising the performance of their employees, and the Trailblazer is a great opportunity to get involved in the formation of a new qualification.
The new apprenticeship will be at Level 7, postgraduate course, and will be offered nationally as an apprenticeship when agreed. We are looking for business managers from a range of employers, particularly those with less than 50 employees, to join the group and ensure the new qualification is focused entirely on the needs of business.
If you would like to find out more, please contact the Chair of the Trailblazer, Rachel Attwood, Managing Director of Carlisle Brass.
