Business Leaders to question Metro Mayors
Business leaders are to join a debate with the North West’s Metro Mayors in a virtual event organised by the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and Steve Rotheram, Mayor for Liverpool City Region, have been instrumental in negotiations with the Government, securing Covid-19 packages of support for businesses and communities in their areas.
The IoD’s audience with the two Mayors provides business owners and directors with the opportunity to explore the negotiations, the impact of the coronavirus on business and plans for the North West’s post Covid recovery.
The event will be led by IoD North West acting regional chair David Wafer. He said: “The North West has made headlines in recent weeks due to coronavirus infection levels and the Mayors’ negotiations with government to secure a package of support to protect lives, jobs and businesses.
“Our event provides directors with a fantastic opportunity to understand these recent challenges and what influence they and the North West can bring to bear on enabling the region to move forward and recover from the impact of Covid-19.”
Questions for the Mayors need to be submitted in advance by emailing email@example.com by 5pm on Wednesday 11 November.
IoD members and non-members can book places here or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The IoD is the UK’s number one organisation for directors, providing support, events, professional development and a lobbying voice for all types of business.
