A new and unique learning experience for IoD North West Members

20 Jul 2017
IoD North West. Members become leaders

After the success of the peer-support Ten Talk events pioneered in Manchester, IoD North West are taking member development a step further with Executive Learning Experiences, a series of bespoke and confidential coaching sessions.

While IoD North West's Ten Talk events enable members an informal opportunity to discuss the issues of leadership that keep them up at night, the new Executive Learning Experience evolves this into productive, peer-supported half-day troubleshooting workshops led by a qualified expert.

Accredited and highly experienced IoD executive coach Zoe Cohen will lead delegates through five workshops over a six-month period, tackling bespoke issues offered up by attendees who will range in experience and sector background.

Zoe’s board portfolio includes strategy and business planning, communications, organisational development, human resources, governance and risk, and much more. She has 18 years of leadership and general management experience, and over 15 years of coaching experience and has accrued over 2,500 hours as an executive, group, team, and board coach.

Claire Ebrey, Regional Director for IoD North West, wants to encourage local leaders to collaborate, share and support each other. She said: “In the North West, we’ve seen that our business leaders are enthusiastic to collaborate, share ideas and support each other. Whether this is with specific questions, such as relocation, or by tackling bigger region-wide issues such as skills and talent or productivity.

The Executive Learning Experience offers high quality coaching, alongside peer support and quality network-building, which will help you grow and develop as a leader. I’m very excited to launch this in the North West, and look forward to seeing the impact across our region as it develops.”

Each session will be held under Chatham House Rule to offer members strict assurances of confidentiality, and will aim to channel the cumulative expertise of attendees as well as the guidance and direction of Zoe.

IoD North West see this as a cost effective and highly personalised learning option for investing in your professional leadership development, along with encouraging company growth.
