Gaining an understanding of the capability, motivation and scope of the digital criminal is vital to assist organisations in improving and monitoring their security posture.
During the event we will seek to demystify and better understand the types of crimes and criminals that operate on the Internet and see how the Economic Crime Unit investigate and obtain evidence to build a successful prosecution.
The presentation will be given by Colin Tansley, Managing Director, Intelect and Detective Superintendent Jed Bibby, Head of Economic and Cyber Crime IOMC.
Founder and Managing Director of Intelect Colin Tansley has 40 years of experience in security and investigations he specialises in conducting confidential online enquiries for a multitude of clients.
He is a serving member of the Association of British Investigators (ABI) and EPIC (Ex-Police in Commerce). Colin has delivered training for over 18 years and is certified by TAP (Training Accreditation Programme) as a learning and development practitioner.He also trains you or your staff in how to conduct online investigations.
An accredited Cyber Essentials Practitioner he can offer assistance to businesses who may wish to attain this UK Government standard of cyber security. His exposure to sensitive investigations and the many types of I.T systems used in the police service gave him a unique insight and experience in the field of information security. Using this knowledge has helped Colin to protect a variety of businesses.
Jarrod Bibby known to most as 'Jed' joined Cheshire Police in August 1994 and worked in a number of roles within the Warrington and Runcorn area of Cheshire.
He transferred to the Isle of Man Constabulary in October 2007 and has since been involved in a number of key areas of operational policing and development within the Constabulary.
