Entrepreneurs build business connections at the Barons Cambridge BMW showrooms
The Institute of Directors (IoD) Cambridgeshire is delighted by the success of their IoD 99 & New Members evening last week held at the luxury showrooms of Barons Cambridge BMW | MINI.
Business leaders from over 15 different organisations met at the modern BMW showrooms to welcome new IoD members, learn more about the IoD 99 Membership, and connect over light refreshments provided by the friendly BMW team.
Guests were also joined by speaker, Alison Shadrack, IoD Essex Media Ambassador and Founder and CEO of Adia PR, who shared some top tips on how young entrepreneurs can scale up their business by building personal brand awareness. She spoke about how to raise your profile and ultimately secure your future while demonstrating that standing out from the crowd does not have to mean stepping out of your comfort zone.
The event was held at Barons Cambridge BMW | MINI to celebrate their new IoD Branch Supporter Status, providing support for all branch activities held across Cambridgeshire.
Supporting activities for the IoD Cambridgeshire branch is an invaluable opportunity for Barons Cambridge BMW | MINI to profile themselves with IoD Supporter Status, and a way to connect with a community of like-minded professional leaders who represent a wide range of companies and businesses within Cambridgeshire.
Simone Robinson, IoD East of England Regional Director says,
“Just as a car requires frequent top- ups of fuel (or indeed electricity) and regular services/MOT’s, so too the best Directors recognise the need for constant learning from IoD events and regular updates regarding their leadership skills and good governance via IoD Professional Development courses. Our collaboration with Barons Cambridge will ensure that we can offer our IoD members more chances to learn and make meaningful connections throughout the year.”
Kevin Appleton, Head of Business at Barons Cambridge BMW | MINI says,
“I am hugely excited to be working alongside the IoD. I am looking forward to joining the business leader community and having the benefit to network and learn from influencers from every aspect of industry while at the same time enjoying the company of likeminded professionals.”
IoD Cambridgeshire thanks Barons Cambridge BMW| MINI for hosting the event and looks forward to collaborating with them in upcoming branch activities.
They also welcome new members to the IoD Cambridgeshire business community and hope that they will benefit from membership and make long-lasting connections with other directors.
