Q: How long have you been involved with the IoD?
Q: Can you tell us a little about your career to date?
I have worked as a Finance Director in multiple business sectors over the last 30 years and for the last 12 years have worked as a portfolio Finance Director acting for multiple businesses at one time. This has included Agriculture, Food, various manufacturing, telecoms, Arts, Professional Sports, Services, Engineering, Technology and Telecoms
Q: What do you hope to achieve as an IoD Branch Ambassador?
To be able to share common issues faced by businesses in the local area with others with the hope of benefitting those facing challenges.
Q: If you could give your 21 year old self some advice what would it be?
Believe in yourself and work hard.
Q: What keeps you busy outside of work?
Squash, Badminton, Dogs and the house.
Q: Are there any business related or policy issues that keep you awake at night?
The current topic that makes me most wary is cybercrime and how best to protect ourselves to the maximum we can.
Q: Why do you think business leaders should join the IoD?
I think the IOD should be one of the leading voices for the local area on business issues which can only be achieved if enough local business leaders contribute. We can then all help each other more effectively.
