Better Leaders Make Better Business: IoD Launches Professional Director Series | CPD in East of England

16 Jul 2019

Business leaders should never underestimate the value of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). No matter how long you have been a director, there is always something new to discover about your role, your responsibilities, and the business world around you.

In a fast-paced world with an ever-changing economy, it is more important than ever to ensure that your knowledge and skills are relevant and up to date with current standards of others in your field and the greater business community.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) East of England region is running a Professional Director | CPD Series on Friday 13th September at the Bradfield Centre in Cambridge.

The IoD is known for being the exclusive provider of the Chartered Director qualification and high level training. However, as an organisation they recognise that all types of CPD are essential and consider the IoD CPD Series to be a beneficial introduction to the concept of Professional Development.

Mapped to the IoD Director Competency Framework, the IoD Professional Director Series | CPD allows directors and senior leaders to further develop their leadership skills and future-proof their board and organisation.

The sessions will be led by Chartered Director and experienced Commercial Law Barrister, Paul Munden, and are split into morning and afternoon courses.

The morning session will include courses on 'Strategic Decision Making' and 'Top 5 Things Every Director Should Know'. The afternoon session will explore 'Practical Tips for Becoming a NED and 'Risk Management and Value Creation'.

Course attendees can either register for a morning session, an afternoon session or the full day.
