IoD East of England celebrate regional Director of the Year Awards

02 May 2017

In the heart of Suffolk, business leaders gathered at the Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket last Friday to recognise and celebrate the past year’s most noteworthy Directors at the IoD East of England Director of the Year Awards.

The Jockey Club Rooms, steeped in over 250 years of horseracing history, hosted a stylish three-course lunchtime event.  Eight category winners were announced, along with the overall Director of the Year and highly commended runner-ups, all of whom will be entered into the IoD’s award finals in London later in the year.

The categories covered organisations spanning start-up, small, and medium sized companies, along with a variety of sectors, and for the second year running, an award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

David Sales, Regional Chairman for IoD East of England, welcomed attendees to venue:

“Congratulations to all of the winners and those who were highly commended for their contributions to business and their communities. It is important that we celebrate the exemplary leaders who are doing great work, often unheeded, across the East of England. Through these awards, the IoD aims to champion both commercial success and responsible leadership, and reward individuals who display the qualities of professionalism, diligence and creativity that we think inspire employees and get results.”
