IoD East of England are pleased to be represented across our vibrant and successful region by IoD Ambassadors who are specialists in their fields. Our IoD Ambassadors are charged with leading in a chosen topic area/function that is their expertise or focus, whilst also promoting the benefits of IoD membership and the CPD route to Chartered Director.

Q: How long have you been involved with the IoD?

7 years, committee 5 years.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your career to date?

See linkedin, sales, sales manager, trouble shooter then training consultancy. Present Company, training consultancy for 17 years, built from scratch.

Q: What do you hope to achieve as an IoD Branch Ambassador?

Communicating with contacts to ensure the IoD Suffolk works with Education facilities to make them aware of what businesses need in current and future workforce.

Q: If you could give your 21 year old self some advice what would it be?

Be patient and believe in yourself.

Q: What keeps you busy outside of work?

Singing, Amatuer theatre and Charity concerts. Watching theatre and spending time at the beach hut.

Q: Are there any business related or policy issues that keep you awake at night?

No, however, I do feel that there needs to be more careers advice to assist young people at school leaving age or sixth form to choose a career path. I see many people in the wrong jobs and that can make them unhappy.

Q: Why do you think business leaders should join the IoD?

To be part of a group where contacts are made and they can learn from other business owners about running a business.
