The Institute of Directors (IoD) in the East of England has announced the results of the East of England Director of the Year Awards 2016.
These awards recognise excellence and leadership, in a range of categories. The judges were extremely impressed with all short-listed candidates.
The winners in each category are as follows:
£100m+ Business Director: Mark Abraham, Wilson James
Young Director: Frederick Furber, F&M Cosmetics
CSR Director: David Gill, St John’s Innovation Centre
Public & Third Sector Director: Sean Kent, Freebridge Community Housing
International Director: Oliver Lincoln, VestGuard UK
£10m - £99m Business Director: Michael Swinhoe, Z-Tech Control Systems
Family Business Director: Andy Wood, Adnams
Up to £10m Business Director: Claire Woodman, Poppy Nursing and Care Services
The overall winner for the Region is Oliver Lincoln of Vestguard UK.
The highly commended candidates are as follows:

Gary Packham, Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University
Young Director: Helen Rudd, Prominent PR
Public & Third Sector Director: Emma Thornton, Visit Cambridge and Beyond
The category winners of the East of England Awards will be put forward for the IoD Director of the Year Awards UK National Final later in the year. There they will compete with other winners from across the UK, culminating in a prestigious event in London.

The results were announced at a celebratory lunch at the Jockey Club in Newmarket earlier today.
