Nottingham Business School to sponsor Women as Leaders Convention 2019
IoD East Midlands invites you to book your place now to join us at the fifth annual Women as Leaders Convention, sponsored by Nottingham Business School which will celebrate successful female leaders in the East Midlands.
The event will be held on Friday 29th March at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham, 12pm-3.30pm. As always this event will be a great showcase of female leadership to inspire and encourage not only women but also their male colleagues.
This year’s focus is the importance of what is leadership and how to be an effective leader, resulting in better directors, better business, better services and better economy. The IoD is committed to increasing the diversity of boards in the private, public and third sectors; and to supporting those aspiring to senior leadership positions.
We are delighted to announce the IoD Chair, Charlotte Valeur
will be our keynote speaker. Charlotte was appointed Chair in September 2018 and is a corporate governance expert, a keen advocate for diversity in the boardroom and founded Board Apprentice.
She will be joined by some of the region's top leaders who will share inspirational stories with delegates. Those taking part offer truly insightful views into the world of business, the military, the law, sport and not for profit organisations.
Currently confirmed speakers are Lisa Wainwright, established leader in the world of the sport,Bill Skelly, Chief Constable of Lincolnshire, Caroline Killeavy, Chief Executive at YMCA Lincolnshire,Karen Smart, Managing Director at East Midlands Airport and Susan Hallam, Founder and CEO of Hallam Internet with Louise Third returning as our host.
