Celebration and Success for NTU IoD Student Members and Mentors
The IoD £10 Challenge successfully ran again this year from the 25th October till 27th November 2018.
The aim of the challenge is that NTU Business School students are split into teams and under the careful eye of a business mentor, set about making as much profit as possible from the initial £10 seed capital in 10 days using entrepreneurial skill and ideas. From doing so these students will receive IoD Student Membership.
All mentors are influential business leaders from the local area and add so much to the event.
All of the money raised goes to the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre; a purpose-built research centre based on Nottingham Trent’s Clifton campus that aims to save lives by improving the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers. Professor Graham Pockley presented on the work that the centre does, their aims and how the money raised from the £10 challenge will benefit their vital research.
This year the teams raised a staggering... £6,686.83!
Here are a few of the images of the winning groups from the evening that our photographer, Peter Nutkins, took:
Best reflection piece: Running Man |
Most unique idea: The Fighters |
Best social media campaign: Team Adrenaline |
Most money raised: Team Domino (£1100.64!) |
Thank you to all mentors and students who participated in this year. Every donation will make a difference.
