Leaders of businesses from all sectors across the East Midlands are invited to celebrate their successes of the past year, as the Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched its annual Director of the Year Awards.
2019 marks the eighth Director of the year Awards (DOTYA) in the East Midlands, which will be held at The Crowne Plaza in Nottingham on Friday 21st June 2019.
If you have accomplished great things in 2018, this is a great opportunity to showcase your achievements!
Speaking of the awards, which seek to unearth the most inspiring and pioneering business leaders, with categories including Director of the Year of a Family Business, Corporate Social Responsibility Director and the Start-Up Director of the Year.
Josh Stamp, Director of The Esland Group Ltd, won the New Director of the Year award in 2018. Josh spoke about the positive impact winning the award has since had on his business at our Nottingham Professionals Lunch on the 13th November. Josh said: “I was anonymously nominated and next thing I knew I was into the finals in Nottingham. 5 years ago my business had 30 staff and now we have 300. The credibility of the IoD itself as a 100 year old organisation, that for me has a weight and substance of a good organisation. Being nominated alone has a way to lift others up and empower your team. Drive some of that good will into your team, empower them and nominate them for an award. If nothing else you'll get to meet a celebrity presenter at the finals."
The awards celebrates entrants from Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. Winners will also automatically go on to represent the region on the national stage at the IoD National Awards in London in October 2019.
