With speakers: Sonia Cottom, Director of Pain Association Scotland and Sheena Gibson, Director at Henderson Loggie
has been Director of Pain Association Scotland for three years – a national charity providing self-management training and support for people burdened with chronic pain.
With a degree in Business Administration, Sonia spent 12 years working in a mixture of export, banking and insurance prior to working in the Third Sector.
Sonia is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and recently received the IoD Emerging Director of the Year Award. Sheena Gibson
works extensively on a range of charity clients, ranging from independent examination to audit, for a range of charitable trusts, companies limited by guarantee, and Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations (SCIOs). She is a senior member of the firm’s Charity Sector Group.
She also works manages a mixed portfolio of accounting assignments for a range of commercial clients. Sheena sits on the board of a local charity, Dundee International Women’s Centre, which promotes social, political and economic inclusion for women from ethnic minority communities.
