Ezechi Britton - Impact X Founding Member, Principal & CTO in Residence 

A serial entrepreneur with over 15 years experience in FinTech. Ez’s journey has taken him from Software Developer to Co-Founder and CTO to Venture Capital.  He is currently a Founding Member, Principal and CTO in Residence at Impact X Capital Partners LLP a venture fund focused on supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs.   

He is the Co-Founder of Code Untapped, a digital skills accelerator that helps companies find innovative product solutions by giving them access to diverse and underrepresented technologists through their innovation labs events. 

He is also a former Co-Founder of Neyber a multi-award-winning Fintech firm focused on financial wellbeing, where he was the founding CTO and held numerous roles during his tenure including brand ambassador and NED.

Teju Akande - International Trade Advisor (DIT)

Teju is a specialist in the energy and infrastructure sector with a focus on delivering the Energy Transition. She helps companies build resilience by identifying, assessing and managing the environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities inherent in their business models with the objective of making them and their projects attractive to investors. 

Teju has 20 years of professional experience in the energy sector with roles in engineering, consulting, finance and government in both Africa and Europe.  Teju has worked on transactions of over US$500 Million and has assisted in raising both debt and equity financing
 
Over the past 3 years, she has been working with the UK Department of International Trade (DIT), specialised in the energy and infrastructure sector. Teju’s current focus is on delivering the energy transition through the net zero framework.  By strategically positioning and promoting her clients commitment to net zero, while at the same time identifying the requirements of key customers and stakeholders, she has been able to increase both opportunities and visibility of her clients while at the same time making them and their projects more bankable.
 
Teju has authored a number of publications; most recent is the "UK Business Guide to Net Zero", which provides and overview as to how companies can align their business models with the global net zero objectives thereby “future-proofing” their business.

Senior Manager | UK Network, South East of England

Susan is an experienced commercial professional working with British Business Bank delivery partners and intermediaries to help smaller business plan for and access finance for growth. Her knowledge and strong connections in the funding and business support community were gained from co-founding and running her own consulting business, providing strategic advice for scale ups, delivering business accelerator programmes, managing public sector business support contracts and through partnerships with sources of finance for small and mid-sized businesses.

Susan will talk about how the British Business Bank unlocks funding to support the success of smaller UK businesses by providing finance and applying guarantees through commercial lenders and investors.
