Rebecca Chapman LLB, Director - North East Business Resilience Centre
Rebecca is a Superintendent with 26 years policing experience across uniform and CID disciplines, both at a district level and central departments. She has a keen interest in regional collaboration and the cyber world, having worked on many collaborative projects, she has a proven track record of delivery. Rebecca is a current Firearms commander, Post Incident Manager, CBRN commander and works for the South Yorkshire Force. She is currently seconded to the North East Transformation, Innovation and collaboration (NETIC) team. Rebecca is married to a fellow officer, lives in Sheffield and has two teenage children.
Mick Mitchell Consultant, Business Risk Specialists
Mick Mitchell has worked in Technology for over 30 years, working in executive positions for companies such as ICL, Barclays, RBS, the Co-operative Group, and Post Office, where he was IT Security and Services Director. He has a wealth of experience across IT, including setting up Cyber functions and defining the Cyber Security Strategies for some of the above companies.
Dr Emma Phillpot MBE, CEO The IASME Consortium Ltd
Emma is a powerhouse of Cyber Professionalism. IASME Consortium is the NCSC's Cyber Essentials Partner. On behalf of the Government they run the Cyber Essentials certification scheme. They also own and manage the award-winning IASME Governance standard. The IASME Governance assessment includes both Cyber Essentials and also an assessment against requirements for the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Tom Pickford - The Growth Company
Tom Pickford is the Partnership and Integration Manager for the Skills for Growth SME support programme at the Business Growth Hub. He promotes the fully funded programme with Key Partners to help SME businesses across Greater Manchester Up-skill their employees and improve productivity.
For the last 6 years, Tom has worked within commercial training, focused on helping organisations (private and public sector) implement training programmes and learning interventions to address organisational challenges and barriers to growth or change. Tom has experience of helping organisations navigate the learning and skills landscape around; apprenticeships, short courses and large-scale change management programmes.
Bev Mc Gowan -CEO CyberPRO Academy
Bev has led several programmes and functions within IT, Data Protection & Governance, Information/Cyber Security and Risk over the past 23 years. Delivering capability uplift and risk reduction for a number of leading Financial Services, Banking and Insurance organisations including Citibank, Co-operative Bank, Lloyds Bank and Royal London Group. Roles include Director of Cyber Security, Group Information Security Officer, Head of Data Governance, Head of IT Projects, Head of Risk and Compliance, GDPR Programme Lead.
In 2018 she founded the Specialists Hub & CyberPRO Academy, a specialist training and apprenticeship provider; in 2019 she also founded Business Risk Specialists, which supports businesses of all sizes with Security, Resilience and Data protection.
Paul Burrows, CEO KryptoKloud LTD -IoD East Midlands Regional Ambassador for Cyber Security
Paul Burrows is KryptoKloud's CEO and is a cyber and intelligence expert, with a 24+ year track record within military intelligence. Paul launched his first intelligence company in 2006 and was subsequently acquired in 2010. Paul established KryptoKloud in 2016 and within 2 years, he has built (from scratch) a cyber security company servicing a global portfolio of clients.
Paul oversees all operational activities including the provision of cyber operations and consultancy services utilising a blend of cyber capabilities and a suite of KryptoKloud’s own products including KryptoDNA (Dark Net Analytics capability) & COBRA (Cyber Business Risk platform) and a 24/7 Cyber Security Operations Capability (CSOC) , utilized by Education, Defence and Insurance bodies as well as Global Pharma companies. Paul is married and has 3 children and speaks several languages fluently, inc. Greek and Russian!
