Helping Businesses Thrive - How the CBIL Scheme could help your business grow and adapt

24 Nov 2020
Online webinar, Online

With the deadline for new applicants to the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) extended until the 31st January, this virtual panel discussion will aim to inform SMEs about why CBILS is a suitable and attractive offering for businesses looking to accessing finance to support their COVID-19 recovery.

The panel will discuss the benefits and flexibility of the CBIL Scheme, how it can help businesses expand and grow, and whether a loan could be the right option for SMEs. The event will include discussion on the future of business financing and how lenders can continue to help businesses thrive over the coming months and years.

What can attendees expect from the session?

The purpose of these events will be to educate and inform businesses on the potential benefits of the CBILS scheme and why they should make the most of it while it is still possible. There will also be a wider discussion of the wider funding landscape for SMEs and what this will look like beyond CBILS.

This is an online event. To attend, book below. We will provide a joining link before the event.

He started his career in finance in 1982 at the Clydesdale Bank and has since then specialised in business finance. Following a role at a small brokerage, he joined Scottish Discount (now Lloyds Commercial Finance) in 1987 and worked with them for 10 years before being approached by Associates Capital, an American finance company. Derek was one of a three-person management team at FIF which developed the company into a specialised asset finance brokerage with circa £100M in asset finance sales. FIF was acquired by LDF, which was sold to White Oak in 2018.
