We will explore a senior shareholder retiring from a group of privately owned businesses, with some of the common issues and taxes which shape key decisions. This is pitched at business owner level for those currently considering how to structure their own exit or the exit of a co shareholder/ family member, or who may be working towards that in the near term.
It will also consider how some of the key taxes might evolve in the near future. The format will be a discussion amongst key tax and corporate partners at Turcan Connell who have a wealth of experience in this specialised area and there will be an opportunity for you to put your questions to the presenting team.
Finally we’d like to thank Turcan Connell for their kind sponsorship of the Family Business Sector Award at our forthcoming IoD Scotland Director of the Year Awards. The winners will be announced at our virtual event on 8 September – please join us for this fantastic evening to celebrate great leadership.
Now more than ever, IoD Scotland is committed to providing access to high level events and speakers so where we can, our events will remain free for Members to attend. To secure your place, we instead ask that you may consider making a donation to our 2020 Charity Partner, Epilepsy Scotland
. Thank you.
