We are undoubtedly living in the toughest moment in the history of travel and tourism for decades. But out of great change can come great opportunities and this is the perfect time to rethink about our businesses, learn from what has happened this year and readjust or reinvent ourselves accordingly.

This webinar will dive deep into the key points of some main aspects within travel and tourism that will definitely change after Covid, from traveller behaviour and expectations to reshaping our industry accordingly. Safety and security, an increased use of virtual and technology, a focus on responsible and sustainable tourism, experiential travel and building a more united sector that acts globally not individually will all be topics addressed in this interactive session.

This event is run by our Tourism and Hospitality Special Interest Group and will involve experts in the sector in a lively and interactive panel discussion, followed by a Q&A session.

John Hobbs-Hurrell, Head of WIN Global Travel Network
John is an industry expert in the field of Corporate Travel Management and Global Travel Networks.

Serving in the capacity of Head of The WIN Global Travel Network, John’s responsibilities include strategic direction of the network, partner development and global representation.

Previously John held numerous roles in a career spanning 21 years with Portman/Clarity Travel, these included Operations Management, Global Network Support and Account Management. During this time, John collaborated with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) around the world to service multinational corporations, providing strategic account management services, data analysis and operations support. Part of the support function to the customers was to review customer’s duty of care policies and the implementation of tech solutions to assist with nuances of global market servicing.

Sarah Wilson, CEO ACE Travel Management
Sarah has more than 30 years experience in the travel industry, mainly with Travel Management companies. Over the last 15 years Sarah spent overseeing the running of the independent company ACE, which she bought in 2018. Sarah’s other experience is in teaching and training in travel including areas such as fares and ticketing and assessing customer service. Sarah is a pro-active member of London Chamber of Commerce and is deputy Chair of the Special Interest Group of Hospitality and Tourism in the Institute of Directors.




Elisabetta Faggiana, Director Unexpected London
Chair of IoD Tourism and Hospitality Special Interest group Elisabetta is also Director and Founder of Unexpected London, a unique experiential tour operator in London that organizes off-the-beaten paths immersive experience. Finalist as best walking experiences in the UK at the iNews Staycation Awards 2019, Unexpected London is also amongst the top 20 best experiences in London out of over 1,300 tours. Elisabetta has Successful entrepreneur with a 10 year career in managing and directing marketing and communication for various SME internationally, ranging from fashion to music to entertainment to tourism to wellbeing, Elisabetta is the founder and director of Unexpected London. With a specific focus on responsabile tourism she is also Chair for Tourism and Hospitality at the Institute of Directors in London.

With over 20 years in the industry, experienced in leading supplier management functions, creating and implementing propositions for accommodation and meetings programmes including on line distribution strategies, providing supply chain processes, governance and management of the supply chain for tri part delivery, in partnership.
 
Appointed in 2016 to the HBAA Chair of the Association, leading a five year strategy. Currently take an active part in the Association today and drive Mental Health awareness across the industry, with the organising of industry events & launching of Mental Health First Aid courses.
