We have heard plenty about employability and the skills businesses need to possess in order to survive and grow.

Our panel will discuss and debate how our education provision is helping - or hindering - the employability potential for businesses in Liverpool.

We will detail how businesses will be affected by the monumental changes being introduced by government to schools, apprenticeships, graduates and work-based training. We want you to understand how you'll be affected and help you shape the business view on employability and skills for work.

Our distinguished panel will open the debate up to our audience as we identify the opportunities businesses have to truly ensure our future workforce is able to make our city the best place to live and work in the UK.

Join us and our host, ITV's Rob McLoughlin, to take part and hear the latest snapshot of our economic performance in the post-Brexit era.

Panellists include:

Tim Nichol, Dean Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University

Sandy Lindsay MBE, MD Tangerine / The Juice Academy & IoD NW Head of Skills & Education

Timothy J Nichol: Dean Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University

Tim graduated with a degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and joined Coopers and Lybrand where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985.  At Coopers he specialised in international personal tax.

In 1992 Tim joined Newcastle Business School where he held a number of senior roles including Associate Deanships in Undergraduate and Teaching and Learning. His early career at Newcastle Business School was spent working on Know How Fund consulting contracts in Eastern Europe. This led to a two-year secondment to work as Resident Advisor at the Ukrainian central bank in Kiev.

Tim was responsible for leading Newcastle Business School through EPAS accreditation system and also led the AACSB accreditation agenda. In 2014 Newcastle Business School became the first school in Europe to achieve both business and accounting accreditation.

In 2014 Tim left Newcastle Business School and took the lead in the launch and development of the Northumbria University London campus before joining Liverpool John Moores University in August 2015.
