Insight Events – run by members, for members – are designed to enable you to explore a key topic, grow your network and gain practical advice from experts within the Advance community.
Intellectual Property (IP) is a mystery to most businesses, but it shouldn’t be. Where there is investment of time, effort and money in creating anything, there is IP. It can be exploited by a business to maintain its leading edge or sold as an asset in its own right. Conversely, IP owned by others might present a risk which can have very serious consequences for your business.
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re well-established, IP is relevant to your business and mustn’t be ignored. From new inventions, brand names and even copy on your website, don’t underestimate the value of this invisible asset and don’t be fooled by common misunderstandings that could lead to increased costs, complexities and dangers that could easily be avoided.
This workshop will provide practical advice on simple but common pitfalls in intellectual property – a highly valuable but often overlooked asset.
Gain practical insights into how to:
Avoid risks presented by IP
Recognise when to seek legal advice
This workshop will be hosted by Richard Bray and Joanne Goodchild. Please see below for full bio
