Branch Event

IoD Liverpool | Too Poor to Retire

08 May 2019
Rathbone Investment Management, Liverpool

So, what is retirement going to look like for the next generation?

We are delighted to welcome Ed Smith, Head of Asset Allocation Research at Rathbone Investment Management to share an insightful presentation on the topic of retirement. Ed will cover the disparity between the retirement realities of the current pensioners and the next generation, using his wealth of knowledge to provide key take-aways for attendees.

The income of the median pensioner is now higher than that of the median worker and has grown at a much faster rate. Life is pretty darn good for the current crop of retirees privileged enough to have a private pension. But will the next generation have it nearly so good? After listening to Ed you will have an understanding of the long-term implications of this issue for the economy, society and markets.

We are also running this event in Cumbria on 13th June. You can book on here.
