David Higgins of 4ITSec
David has had a fascinating career including working as a “UNIX contractor” for a UK Government department – travelling the world as a “highly cleared techie” for twelve years. He has also worked for several different UK security groups and departments – even meeting James Bond (although, not the one with the Aston Martin).
The common thread throughout those twelve years was “secrecy” and “security” and this became part of his working ethics. 4ITSec Ltd was formed in 2012 to ensure that the knowledge of “secure working” was passed onto local businesses.
He offers discrete and direct cyber security advice to businesses; scanning IT systems for issues and vulnerabilities (always an eye-opener), scanning for regulatory compliance, organising PEN testing, helping with Cyber Essentials and to be compliant with Data Protection Laws (GDPR software).
He’s a qualified CISSP, an Ethical Hackers and Cyber Essential accredited

Nicky Lawlor is a co-founder of cyberfen, an innovative cyber resilience company. Cyberfen’s game-based approach enables business leaders to understand cyber risk and its impacts on the running of their organisation. Through a hands-on cyber vulnerability simulation, the executives play through cyber breach scenarios and take decisions from a business perspective. In this simulated business environment, they quickly see the outcomes of those decisions from a bottom-line and reputational aspect. The result is an enhanced executive board capability to align cyber protection investment with business priorities.
