Our Regional Director, Claire, invites you to a casual golf day at her club, Tytherington in Cheshire. The event will include breakfast, 18 holes of golf and a two-course lunch.
The format will be teams of four, best two score to count (stableford points).
There will be small prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin and overall winners, but the main purpose is to get out of the office and into the fresh air, meet other IoD members and have a great morning at one of Cheshire’s best courses.
The price includes breakfast, 18 holes and a two-course lunch, but excludes buggies, drinks, etc, which will need to be paid for separately on the day.
Buggies will need to be pre-booked and paid for on the day directly to the club. Please let us know if you intend to book a buggy and we will try to partner you with another buggy user, otherwise, we will partner everyone up at random.
This is the first time we’ve put on an IoD North West golf day, so if more than 60 people register, we will have a shotgun start and if fewer than 60 book on, we will stagger tee times over an hour or so. We will all eat lunch together regardless of tee times.
We will welcome one of the Directors of the Club Company (which owns Tytherington and several other clubs across the country) to do a brief talk about their plans in Cheshire at lunch time.
- The competition will be open to all ‘competent’ golfers. The course is not suitable for beginners, but anyone with a handicap (or even a lapsed handicap or ‘best guess’) is welcome.
- Scores will be handicap adjusted to allow women and men to compete fairly. Tytherington’s Golf Director will manage the score cards and confirm the winners.
