We are delighted to invite you to our Spring Lunch with the Hon. Chris Thomas MHK “Special Year and its link to turning our local economy and economically active population around”.

The lunch is being supported by Barclays and we will be organising a raffle to raise funds for a local charity. The event will start with pre-lunch drinks in The Claremont Hotel Blue Room at 11.45am, followed by lunch and coffee which will be served promptly at 12.15pm. We intend completing formalities by no later than 2.15pm.

The Lunch will also host our third Director of the Year Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Appleby, which will see our Judges announce the winner, chosen from the Island’s most exceptional and inspirational business leaders.

Hon Chris Thomas MHK is the Isle of Man Government Minister for Policy and Reform having been elected as Member of the House of Keys for Douglas Central first in 2013.

He chairs the Island's Public Service Commission, Public Sector Pensions Authority, Culture Vannin, and the Council of Ministers Sub-Committees for Environment & Infrastructure, Social Policy and Legislation. A chartered financial analyst by professional background, the Minister has been strongly involved in developing and implementing the Programme for Government, digital transformation (Government's Smart Service Framework and GDPR), planning policy and economic matters including calculation of the first Manx Living Wage and the population white paper.

Legislation the Minister has taken through the Keys includes the Equality Act, Statute Law Revision Act, Freedom of Information Amendment Act and the Safeguarding Bill.
