What’s on the agenda

Big Picture

As our relationship to digital technology continues to evolve you will hear from CEO Julian David who leads techUK’s 60 strong team in representing more than 900 member companies, including multi-nationals and more than 500 SMEs to ensure that the digital tech industry is at the heart of a modern society and economy in Britain.

Tech after Brexit

The technology sector, with its international focus, was a vocal advocate for Britain staying in the European Union. But, in defiance of the widespread concerns, the industry has been thriving in the wake of the decision to leave with investment and expansion thriving. This session will discuss the next steps for ensuring Britain’s technology sectors continue to flourish.

Women Who Code

Hear from Director Gen Ashley on how to encourage and retain diverse teams and the advantages and impact they can have.

GDPR Workshop

The new European data protection regulations (GDPR) come into force in May 2018 and represent the most significant change to data privacy regulations for 20 years. With non-compliance penalties of up to 4% of global revenue, it is essential that businesses understand what's coming, the impact on systems/processes and what actions are needed to ensure compliance. Find out what it means for your organization, access your readiness, identify gaps and opportunities and lay out your next steps.

Cyber Security

No firm leaves their offices unlocked at night but the truth is that many do play it fast and loose with their digital security. Now as businesses wake up to the liability this session will ensure you and your business leave fully prepared to deal with these threats before they happen.

Harnessing the Power of Social Media

Through social media and data analytics, businesses are given a powerful, proprietary platform to better understand analysts, thought leaders, industry experts and prospective clients. Even better? These platforms allow you to listen in on market trends and proactively address customer needs. Simply paying attention to what's being shared provides modern businesses with a wealth of market research data.

Digital Reinvention

Some of the world's most profitable and enduring companies have achieved their long track record of success by constantly reinventing themselves. In this session, we provide a detailed case study from a company that has undergone a complete reimagining of how it operates as an organisation and how it engages with its environment.

Digital Marketing

In this session IBM’s Jeremy Waite will look at subliminal messaging, video and live content and how to communicate effectively in an increasingly fragmented world; equipping you with the tools to manage the madness.
