The latest installment of our Chartered Director Lunchtime Webinar series sees us stripping what we know about business right back to what we know about the way we think.
Thursday 28 June, 1-2pm
We're delighted to be joined by Neil Gilbride BSc (Hons) MEd (Cantab) PGCE MBPsS FHEA, Lecturer in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Gloucestershire, who presented his PhD submission to the American Education Research Association, displaying the overlap around looking at the wider issues of ego and leadership in education and business.
Throughout the free webinar, which is open to all IoD members, Neil will discuss 'thinking in a complex world' and whether or not those who develop programmes, recruitment, and selection policies place enough focus on how we do what we do. Fans of Daniel Kahneman's 'Thinking Fast and Slow' may find this webinar particularly interesting, as well as those involved in education - professionally or personally.
Neil's experience in education, and a desire for business leaders to take on roles within the sector, such as school governors, reflects the IoD's recent joint statement with the Department for Education, promoting the same idea.
If you are unable to listen to the webinar live, registering your details in advance will ensure you are sent a link to the recorded session afterwards.
