Sarah was winner of IoD Scotland’s ‘Non-Executive Director of the Year’ Award in 2020.

She is passionate about creating a progressive economy – one that delivers social justice on a healthy planet. She is a trustee of Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) Scotland and a member of WEAll’s Global Council. She is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde, chair of North Ayrshire’s Community Wealth Building expert advisory group and an Executive Coach and Mentor. Sarah is a member of both the IOD’s National Sustainability Taskforce and Glasgow & West of Scotland Committee. Also, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Salzburg Global Seminars.

Her career spans the public and private sectors, most recently as chief executive of Co-operative Development Scotland where she championed progressive business models. Previously she held positions as founder director of the Bank of Scotland Foundation, chair of Arts & Business Scotland and trustee of Scottish Youth Theatre.
