Martin Colenutt, a member of four years, has spent the majority of his career with Lloyds TSB. He became increasingly aware of the IoD benefits and chose to utilise them, in particular the professional development support.

I am a keen supporter of the IoD professional development courses, so much so that Lloyds TSB is running a joint initiative with the IoD. IoD training is extremely good, particularly the strategic courses - the content is excellent and the people running them really know what they are talking about. With the IoD being non industry or sector biased they are able to tailor-make the course to meet your company needs.

116 Pall Mall is my preferred premises. It is prestigious and can't fail to impress guests. Our office is City based so we need to be able to meet customers in the West End. I have also found the Information Centre very useful. You can undertake your own research, or take advantage of experienced in-house researchers, who do the hard work for you.

Peter Bance has spent his career in the commercialisation of technology and building new businesses. He has been busy the last year floating his fuel-cell technology company on the alternative Investment Market (aIM).

In the past I had known of the IoD's physical presence, having walked past 116 Pall Mall many times.
