IoD Wales Director of the Year Awards 2012 Brochure (Click here)

The IoD Wales Director of the Year Awards 2012 has launched and the search is on to find outstanding business people in Wales.

The economic climate over the last few years has not been easy for business and there continues to be a high level of uncertainty.  We are facing unique challenges as a nation and as business leaders.  It is for those who see these challenges as opportunities, for those who are able to adapt and grow and for those that take calculated risks and push the boundaries in their sectors that we are again looking to champion success and highlight inspired business leadership.

We are delighted to announce that last year’s main sponsor, Cardiff Business School has chosen to be our main sponsor for 2012.

The categories for 2012 are:

* Director of the Year – South Wales – sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial
* Director of the Year – North Wales - sponsored by ITV Wales
* Young Director of the Year – South Wales – sponsored by Cardiff Council
* Young Director of the Year - North Wales - sponsored by Capital Law
* Director in a Family Business – sponsored by Leadership & Management Wales
* Director in a Small Business – South Wales – sponsored by RWE Npower
* Director in a Small Business – North Wales - sponsored by Royal Mail
* Environmental Leadership Award - sponsored by HWB Cymru
* Talent & Innovation Award – sponsored by ACCA Wales

There is also a Chairman’s Award, sponsored by Cardiff Business School but this is not open for entry or nomination.

We therefore ask you to consider nominating yourself or indeed whether you would like to nominate a director in your organisation.  Category winners from the regional awards will automatically be put forward for the IoD national awards which culminate in a ceremony at Pall Mall in the autumn.

The awards are open to individuals at director level, including IoD members and non-members, from the whole spectrum of the business community.  The applications are judged by a panel of six experts from Wales – but do not include IoD employees.

The Award winners will be announced at a prestigious Awards Lunch on Thursday 17 May 2012 at the SWALEC stadium, Cardiff.  Simon Walker, Director General of the Institute of Directors will be the guest speaker.

The cost to attend the Awards lunch which will include a 3-course meal is £45pp plus VAT.  Tables of 10 guests are £450 plus VAT.

The closing date for entries is 31 March 2012.  We have kept entry requirements to a minimum to limit the amount of time involved and the entry and nomination forms can be downloaded below together with the Awards Lunch booking form.
