The IoD operates at a local level through a network of branches, which can help to maximise the benefits of your membership.
The West Thames branch organises a varied programme of events thoughout the year, held at different locations througout the branch area. These events are intended to provide you with information and knowledge helpful to you and your business, together with a chance to network with like-minded directors and with almost 1,000 member there is no shortage of opportunities to do so.

Once again we're asking you to volunteer for the Young Enterprise Company programme. It starts in September and we need volunteers to work in the Richmond, Kingston, Surbiton, Weybridge, Staines, Walton-on-Thames and Sunbury areas.
Our branch has an excellent record of supporting the scheme. Over twenty West Thames members took part in the company programme last year, and we sponsor the Best Presentation award at the area finals.
Members who've taken part say it's a great opportunity to develop your professional skills AND make a real difference to the business careers of young people in this area.
What sort of commitment are we talking about?
The Company Programme takes just one and half hours of your time every week from September to April. There are also one and two day events that you can get involved in.
The IoD is committed to working with Young Enterprise and encourages members to get involved. So volunteer today and help nurture and prepare the business leaders of the tomorrow.
