Welcome to IoD Oxfordshire

IoD Oxfordshire Committee
Your local branch has a good degree of autonomy and the committee is made up of ten volunteer members, representing different business sectors across Oxfordshire.  We're usually present at local events and are always available for you to contact should you have any questions.  Please let us know if you think you might like to get involved with any one of the seven committee subgroups: public relations and marketing, membership and engagement, events, policy, education, finance and sponsorship / fundraising.

Oxfordshire Branch, Institute of Directors - Our Purpose

The Oxfordshire IoD branch committee, supported by the IoD’s national Philosophy and Royal Charter, believe that our focus should be on engaging ASPIRING businesspeople, leaders and directors, living and working across the county.  To deliver on this promise, our purpose is:

to Inspire . . .

- helping directors achieve new heights by stimulating the creation of aspiring goals

- showing directors examples of what business success and best practice directorship look like

- encouraging and enabling directors to give back by inspiring others

 to Develop . . .

- helping directors enhance their leadership skills and boardroom performance

- encouraging directors to learn from each other and share knowledge

- helping directors continually to refresh their knowledge

to Influence . . .

- representing directors’ views and interests locally, regionally and nationally

- maintaining lines of communication with key decision makers

- maintaining a credible following of a like-minded community of directors

As your committee, often with further assistance from members, we organise a diverse calendar of high quality events, in interesting venues across Oxfordshire and the South.  We encourage members to bring non-member guests to many of these events.  For a summary of upcoming events and to make offline booking quick and simple, download the latest Event Programme & Booking Form.  If you're in a hurry, remember you can just pick up the phone to Claire Fisher or leave her a quick message and she'll do the rest.
