Jason Choy has been appointed Chairman of The Institute of Directors Central London Branch, succeeding Jim Kelly whose term as Chairman ended in May.
Jason brings a wealth of business experience and insight to the post. He has a background in the security and commercial property sector, and worked on both the Sydney 2000 Olympics and the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester where he was Project Director.
In 2007 Jason founded the Young Directors’ Forum and was joint Chairman with James Ollerenshaw. In 2009, on behalf of The Institute of Directors, Jason was selected to represent the United Kingdom at the G8 Young Business Summit in Italy and continues to work with Government to encourage enterprise in the UK.
His other affiliations include Enterprise Insight, G4C & Entrepreneurs Organisation. He is an active committee member for the FMA Young Managers’ Forum as well as a Governor at Greenwich Community College and visiting Professor at London’s Metropolitan University.
Commenting on the appointment Jason said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to lead Central London Branch from 2011 through Britain’s Olympic Year and beyond. I believe the IoD has a vital role to play in London and working with our Events Committee, I am confident we will continue to innovate and inspire our membership through the creation of new and exciting business ideas for the benefit of the our members and businesses in London”.

We publish a hard copy newsletter (Central) twice per year covering most of our forthcoming events, as well as providing comment on past events. In addition, Central is uploaded to our website home page (see below). CLB members can also advertise and provide promotional inserts in Central. Prices and full details are available upon request.
These events are designed around business presentations at 116 Pall Mall, a visit to a location in Central London such as a hotel, restaurant or sponsored venue, or a social event such as a theatre evening. Networking events are designed to take place out of core business hours.
