The IoD Cambridgeshire Branch covers the county of Cambridgeshire and PE post codes of South Lincolnshire.
The role of IoD Cambridgeshire is to provide, within the scope of the IoD charter, for the needs of local IoD members. We have 800 or so Cambridgeshire members, made up from a diverse cross-section of people.
Under the leadership of its Chairman, David Sales, the committee, which represents local members' interests, puts together a diary of events that will appeal to a wide range of people. These include a variety of networking meetings, company and industry visits and social activities. We work with neighbouring branches in the IoD East of England Region to provide certain key events and to allow our respective members to access all events in the Region. In addition to providing events, the Branch has plans to engage more with the local business community, link with media organisations, improve connections with education, and work hard to develop its appeal to diverse groups. It also intends to improve the way it communicates with its members and how it supports not-for-profit organisations such as charities.
All Cambridgeshire events can be attended by IoD members from other branches and in many cases non-members are also welcome to come along. Many events can be booked online.
