Student Membership Administrator
Contract: Full-Time
Location: Pall Mall, Central London
Salary: £24-25k per annum - dependent upon experience

Our Student Membership team have a vacancy for a Student Membership Administrator. This role will work with the Student Membership Executive to support and grow our Student Membership offering. The role provides administrative support internally and is the first point of contact for student membership enquiries.

The key duties include:

  • Providing Technical Online and E-mail Support
  • Producing copy for promotional material and managing social media
  • Assisting with student membership events
  • Cultivating and managing relationships with key decision makers in participating universities
  • Close liaison with our Membership Operations department

Employment and Skills Policy Lead
Contract: Full-Time
Location: Pall Mall, Central London
Salary: £30-35k - dependent upon experience

The IoD is looking to recruit an Employment and Skills Policy Lead who will report to our Chief Economist and Director of Policy. This is a new role, and its primary objective is to lead the IoD in developing employment and skills policies and their impact to the wider economy. This will include undertaking original research, report writing and consultation responses.

We are looking for a Graduate from a leading university, who is an excellent communicator with at least 5 years’ experience with a background of one or more of the following areas:

  • Quantitative research analysis focused upon employment and skills
  • Policy analysis focused on employment and skills or a segment of the employment and skills

This role will also involve policy development, giving presentations, appearing in the media (therefore experience of dealing directly with the Media would also be an advantage) and travel as appropriate.

Leadership Course Leader (Contract position)

We are recruiting for a freelance course leader to join our leadership faculty.

Type: Contract Associate Position

Location: Successful candidate will be required to work in various locations across the UK and worldwide depending on client demand.

The Role and Key Responsibilities

We have a fantastic opening for an experienced and talented associate course leader, who specialises in leadership, business ethics and strategic change. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading professional institute that represents business leaders across the globe and a faculty at the forefront of director development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To deliver the IoD’s ‘Director’s Role in Leading the Organisation’ (DRL) programme to directors and boards across open and in-house programmes
  • To act as an ambassador and thought leader for the IoD and promote the importance of professional development for directors and boards
  • To deliver other courses in the IoD’s portfolio to directors and boards across open and in-house programmes, which are related to the course leader’s specialism
  • To design and develop bespoke programmes for in-house clients, which are related to the course leader’s specialism
  • To undertake consultancy assignments relating to the course leader’s specialism

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of seven years’ experience as an executive or non-executive director, senior executive, or in a senior board advisory role
  • Clear evidence of a high level of expertise and specialisation in leadership. Evidence may include relevant academic or professional qualifications/membership (e.g. CMI, ILM, Executive MBA) and a track record in a specialist role in leadership development and/or strategy implementation (e.g. leadership consultant etc.)
  • Prior teaching experience – although where this is not present, candidates should demonstrate outstanding teaching potential.com
  • Prior learning and development experience at director level, including design and delivery of workshops, training programmes, developing exam questions, using learning technologies, coaching and mentoring etc
  • Direct experience of leading an organisation through a challenging period of change
